My students found the following question quite difficult. It comes from Cambridge IELTS 6, page 14.
You will hear a conversation between Brian and his tutor.
What is Brian going to do before the course starts?
A) attend a class
B) write a report
C) read a book
Note:
In the recording I am reading both parts of the conversation (Brian / Tutor). In the real test, you will hear two different voices.

Brian: Is there anything I should do before the course? Like reading or anything?
Tutor: We prefer to integrate reading with the course, so we don't give out a reading lesson advance. But we like people to write a case study describing an organisation they know.
Brian: I've already done that, as my friends told me want to what. But what is possible to sit in on the teaching section to see what is like. I haven't been a student for a while.
Tutor: Fine! Just let me know which day you are the -- with the tutor.

Hi
I think it was very easy. There are questions especially multiple-choice questions with long answers which you find it very difficult to read and listen in same time. Those questions indeed are most difficult ones.

Hi SIMON
I have a serious problem with writing even in my native language. I don't call it dyslexia but it is a kind of. My last try for IELTS about 2 years ago was L=9 R=7 W=6 S=6.5. since then I have been working on my speaking and writing along with other skills but still I am not confident for resitting in exam. I tried all kind of self learning by following some of universities writing courses or books, without any significant improvement. As I found your advices great, is there any method or practice that I can try.
Thank you

A
He wants to 'sit in on a class'.

Hi dear Simon.
Firstly, I wanna say your website is totally amazing. since I have started reading your website i feel more interested in generally learning English and specifically writing task of IELTS.
Secondly, I have a request . I wanna ask for an explanation of transcribing . Hearing it is extremely efficient, I wanna do that but not sure how exactly . My current listening score is around 6.5 and i need to get at least 7.5 in about 2 months . Do you think transcribing will do ?
PLZ allocate a post about how to transcribe correctly as a practice for IELTS listening .
I sincerely appreciate your work .
Warm regards
Majid
