Initially,I think both answers A and B is seem corect. After read the passage carefully one more time, I think the corect answer is B

For choosing approciate answer, we should notice these word " Historically"; "but recent research".

And through all passage, I could not see any word which related to "scientists"
:) We're going to wait the corect final answer from Mr Simon.

A

My answer is also B

CORRECT ANSWER FROM SIMON:

B

The aim of this exercise was to show you how you can be tricked into choosing the wrong answer.

Answers A and B are very similar, but the passage isn't really about scientists "presenting" their new findings, so the more general answer (B) is the best choice.

I think is B

B I think so

I know this is a trick because it was too easy to find the answer from the first para. But I still choose the wrong answer because I was too lazy to read whole the text.
Shame of me.

Thank you Simon, I got band 7 for IELTS. Had it not been for your help, I would not have achieved such result.

the answer is probably B. it seems to me that that was no new things found abt Unconscious mind. According to the coherence "historically" you might yet know that human has already know abt some kind of things abt unconscious mind so A is an incorrect answer!!

A

A is the answer

B

The attitude of the scientific community towards the unconscious mind has shifted dramatically in recent years.

But recent research reveals that the unconscious brain might also be an active player in decision making,....

Right answer is A

A

But recent research reveals that the unconscious brain might also be an active player in decision making,....

I think B is correct.

A

A

I chose B originally, but I changed up my mind after rolling down...

I will choose B.

B

I choose B. The first sentence of the article shows the point. In the second paragraph, the writer describes the changing process of our understanding of unconscious mind.

However, what's the correct answer??

I think the answer is B, because :

"A. Scientists present new findings about the unconscious mind", however in the passage, it did not mentioned about new findings.

The passage said "But recent research reveals that the unconscious brain might also be an active player in decision making"

It said might and the certainty level is not yet 100%,while if we says new findings, it means it was already tested and prooven.

I will go for B.
Really wants to know the answer to the question.
