Over the weekend I ran an IELTS preparation course here in Manchester. We did some good work on 'paragraph headings' questions, and one of the exercises that we used was test 2, passage 1 in Cambridge IELTS book 10.
Here are the keywords from the 'paragraph headings' section in that test:
Note: I always recommend doing paragraph matching questions last. They are much easier if you are already familiar with the passage, having done other question sections first.
Dear Simon
"Comparable to" in the paragraph. " same as" in the question.
"True or false" in such situation?
Thank you.

Dear Simon,
In the Official IELTS Practice materials 2 book, general reading practice section 3, there is a question about True, False, Not given which is:
- The average person can name thousands of smells.
In the passage, it said:
- The average person can detect at least 10,000 odours.
I think it's True because:
- name= detect
- thousands of smells = 10,000 odours
But the answer in the book is False. What do you think?
Thanks in advance!

@ My, here is the paragraph that you are talking about:
The average person can detect at least 10,000 odours. Being able to identify those smell is another story. If blindfolded, most people can put a name ('roses', 'fish','oak') to FEWER THAN A HUNDRED SCENTS.
The question is :
The average person can name thousands of smells.
the answer must be "false".
Last line: can name = can put a name (fewer than hundreds)
