I have a question about "problem and solution" essays.

Do you think it would be preferred by the examiner that we provide solutions according to the problems we've just listed?

Thanks!

It is true that some cities are witnessing an influx of immigrants who are trying to change their life for the better. However, living in big cities could be problematic and there are a number of solutions that governments can adopt to improve city life.

Problem 1: pollution
Problem 2: not enough housing to accommodate a large population

Solution 1: introduce environmental laws (relocate plants and factories near residential areas to the ourskirts) and raise taxes on private vehicles, encourage the use of publis transport
Solution 2: building more residential areas/ high-rise buildings,...

Althought urban lives are immensely difficult and expensive , people are increasingly moving there in the hope of seeking a quality of life. While There can be some problems to living in big cities , government can take steps to mitigate these problems.

It is true that many people are moving from rural to urban areas to improve the quality of their life. However, they are encountered by several problems in cities for which government should take steps to solve them.
Please simon check my introduction thanks

It is true that every year many people from rural areas deceide to settle in cities. Living in urban settings has some drawbacks, and governments can improve the quality of life of cities' inhabitants by taking certain measures.

- because migration being increasingly happening, and it lead to more and more problems especially in the big cities

- for problems we could use ( troubles, difficulties) and for solution (solve, settlement)

- ( In the past few years, it was noticed that a lot of people are moving from the country side to be relocated in the big cities. lack of facilities in the rural habitat could be the mean reason , however this migration could be a burden in the already crowded big cities, which could be a challenge for the authorities to accommodate and make the urban live more stressful

- i would like to speak in the main paragraph about ( traffic jam , pollution, water supply problems and sewage disposal as main problems , in the solution i would like to talk about social housing development, suburban development , initiating new cities and i will give new cities in egypt as an example

Nowadays, increasing-migration phenomenon is becoming one of the major problems of each government which is forced to deal with. Migrants who seek better quality of life are evacuating their hometowns in order to experience better standards of living.

hi simon
the problems question is : Explain some of the difficulties..

and the solution question is: How can governments make...

1. The question requires us to discuss two things. One is to tackle the problems encountered when one is living in the city. Another is to discuss how the government can help improve city life.

2. The word "difficulties" was used instead of PROBLEM. "How can" was also used instead of SOLUTION.

3. INTRODUCTION: Today there is an increasing number of people moving to big cities to improve their way of life despite knowing the fact that urban living can also be very challenging. In this essay, I will tackle the various problems people often encounter when living in the city as well as the aid governments may provide to improve its quality of life.

-Higher cost of living as compared to living in rural areas.
-More competition in terms of employment

PARAGRAPH 2: SOLUTIONS (government)
-Government in partnership with major technology companies can come up with ways to promote quality living in urban areas.
-Government can provide more trainings on telecommuting.

Question for task 2 today 20th Feb:
Some people think that the governments should build train and subway lines to reduce traffic congestion. Others say that building more and wider roads will be better solution.
Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Yes, it's a "problem and solution" question.
"the difficulties of living in a city" is the same as the problems of it.
"How can governments make it better" can be seen as asking us to suggest some advice to this problem.

It's true that an increasing number of people are moving to cities in order to improve the quality of their life. Even if cities can provide them with better facilities and job opportunities, the cost of living in cites can be much higher than in countryside and life in cities can be very stressful.

There are obvious reasons why living in cities can be very difficult. Firstly, the cost of living is much higher. Most commodities for basic living like food and clothes are much more expensive in cites. In additional, they need to pay the rising rent for houses. Secondly, even though there are lots of jobs with higher salaries, the qualifications for those jobs can be very high and working pressure from those jobs is much higher than living in countryside. Finally, people who migrant to cities after working such stressful circumstance can get some diseases, which can extremely harmful effects on their bodies.

Some effective measures must be adopted to improve this situation. Firstly, governments can come up with some powerful regulations to restrict the number of people moving into cities. Furthermore, governments should provide basic financial support to people migrating to cities, such as, providing them with some housing subsidy to lower their living cost. Finally, governments should encourage them to have a balanced life and offer them some guidelines to help them to manage their life and release their stress.

In conclusion, it’s clear that cities have a lot of advantages like better jobs opportunities and basic services. But people moving from countryside to live in cities can enjoy a very hard life for above reasons, and also there are some suggestions mentioned above can change the circumstance.

1.Question asks us to list out some difficulties in city life and what is the governmental duty in addressing these issues.
2.PROBLEM-DIFFICULTIES
SOLUTION-HOW CAN
3.It is true that there is an increase in the number of migrants to cities in search of better pastures however, this trend has resulted much problem. There are a number of reasons why life is difficult in cities , and to make sure that people enjoy better lifestyles, governments can take certain proactive measures .
4.Problems:Traffic congestion, pollution ,gap between the halves and halve notes.
solution:
a)Car pooling, awareness and improve facilities in public transport, route and time mgt
b)Stringent rules and waste mgt
c)basic facilities for the people in the low income level, subsidies from government for business, free technological literacy.

Can anyone give some ideas about this question please?

Writing task 2----- The prevention of health problems and illness is more important than treatment and medicines. Government funding should reflect this.

Can I use "draw on" intead of employ, use, utilize?

Hi ,do we just write problems and their solution in this question ,not agree or disagree if I want to write in that way..
