I've written about this several times before, but people still ask me for lists of phrases for any essay. For example, I received this question the other day:
"Please send me some common phrases that I will write in many essays."
If you've followed my lessons on this blog, you'll know that "any essay" phrases are not the secret to getting a high score in IELTS writing. In fact, I recommend that you work on the opposite: vocabulary for specific topics like education, family, work or the environment. You can use linking words/phrases in any essay, but these only help your coherence and cohesion, not your vocabulary score. So please forget the idea of "phrases for any essay", and focus instead on vocabulary for topics.
Sir isn't it give us a short cut to score higher bandscore ? When examiner see important words they like it.

Pachu
There are no shortcuts to a higher band-score.
What really matters is the number of grammar errors, and this is what you need to work on.
-> Sir [comma needed] isn't [wrong auxiliary] it give us a short cut to score [infinitive unnecessary] higher bandscore ? [wrong spacing around punctuation] When [missing article] examiner see [wrong verb ending] important words [missing comma] they like it.
It is vital that you note your mistakes, and correct them as recently outlined by Mr Sjm. This is the third time that punctuation spacing has been pointed out to you.

You are working for a company. You need to take some time off work and want to ask your manager about this.
Write a letter to your manager. In your letter
• explain why you want to take time off work (take IELTS exam, mandatory for getting a job in Canada)
• give details of the amount of time you need (15 days, prepare well)
• suggest how your work could be covered while you are away (John, we work from scratch)
Dear Mr. Sam
I am writing this letter to request the privilege leaves for 15 days to prepare for the exam that I am going to sit on June 15, 2019.
As I informed you earlier, I have been preparing for the IELTS exam now for the past 6 months as I have planned to immigrate to Canada in the near future for the better career prospect. I am really looking for broadening my horizon so that I can achieve maximum success in my life.
I will require time off for at least 15 days to focus solely on my exam preparation as I have not studied well yet due to urgent work priorities, and this extra time would certainly help me to improve my weak areas, such as grammar, pronunciation, and vocabulary.
As Dr. Simon and I have been working on the same assignment from the initiation since October 2018, he would efficiently manage the on-going work as he is very well aware of each aspect of the project and the revisions that I have made from the day 1.
I look forward to the approval of my leaves at your earliest convenience.
Yours Sincerely
Vishaal Oza
