Students' success stories

I often receive emails from students who have passed the IELTS test, and I've decided to start sharing these success stories. Hopefully they can help to motivate people who haven't passed yet!

Here's a message that I received this week:

Dear Simon,

I am feeling extremely happy while writing this e-mail to you. I got my result this morning and I got overall band 7 in academic IELTS. My biggest concern was writing, but with constant dedication I managed to achieve 7 in that part too. I started my IELTS preparation in May 2019 and sat the test on 19th October just by following your blog, advice and your ebook. I followed every tip of yours (from the time you started the blog) and implemented it in my essays, and also I want to mention that it was my first attempt so I am just over the moon. It would be wrong not to mention that two of my sisters also followed your blog and achieved their desired band last year, it has become our family blog. :)

We are very thankful for your free help that you provide to students, and I am glad I found your website at the right time.

I had my academic test a couple weeks ago, and finally my test result came out yesterday, and I received overall band 8 for my first attempt, including a 9 for reading. My biggest concern was writing, but after watching your teaching videos and also lots of examples, I started gaining more confidence in myself, as the tips you’ve given have been really helpful. I’m really happy that all the practice paid off, but I knew that I couldn’t have achieved any of that if it weren’t for you and your website, so thank you so much!

I paid more than a thousand pounds for online courses before I really concentrated myself on this blog and later Simon`s writing 2 course.I spent all that money in vein. This blog is I think more helpful than all the others. I got a 7.0 for writing eventually.

I want to thank you for all the help I got from your site while preparing for the IELTS test. I gave the test exactly one year back but couldn't write back to you. Because of you I could get a good band which helped me to get my Canadian PR. My reading band drastically improved after going through the tips and material you have posted on your website.
